MYLEX Acceleraid 250磁盘阵列卡的BIOS和Firmware太旧的话，36G的硬盘没有办法认到，就配置不了阵列，下面本公司把技术人员的一些心得写下，按此方法，可成功的刷新BIOS和Firmware。

Here is the list and steps that you need to follow to flash the Acceleraid 250 controller.

Down load the bios and firmware from the URL listed below.

Make sure to select Bios and firmware for Acceleraid 250, as you need. There is couple of different version available.

After extracting the bios and firmware on the floppy disk, down load the DAC960FL from the following URL to the floppy disk.

If there is sufficient room on the floppy disk then copy the DAC960FL.EXE on the same disk where the bios and firmware files were extracted. If the floppy disk is full, then you need to delete the Ezassist.exe or DACCF.EXE from the floppy disk and then copy DAC960FL.EXE to the same floppy disk.

Before you can flash the controller, you need to print or write down the file names and extension of each and every file you want to flash.

1.) You need to boot from MS-DOS 5.0 / Windows 95 / 98 or higher boot disk. Windows XP, Windows 2000 or windows 2003 bootable disk will not work.

2.) Insert the MS-DOS boot disk or Windows 95/98-boot disk in floppy drive (A) and power on the system.

3.)When it say starting MS-DOS / Starting Windows 95 / 98, you need to Press F5 key from the keyboard.

4) At the MS-DOS prompt A: > Pull the MS-DOS boot disk and insert the disk with flash upgrade files. Please write down the file name which need to be flashed.

5)Type DAC960FL BGxxxxx.IMG (Press enters key from Keyboard) Follow all instructions to flash the controller. (Example)

6.)To flash the second file you need to go back to step 1,2,3,4, and then 5 to flash the next file

DO not flash the files with the following extension.

xxx.TXT

xxxx.exe

After the compleation of the flash, reboot the system. Now you will get ALT M and ALT R option during the startup / bootup. ALT M is the bios. ALT R will take with into the Ezassist configuration and utility to configure or manage the array.
